3.Increased Productivity New Trimming Mechanism
<Construction>
- New trimming mechanism supports the seat
of the head during the trimming hit to maintain
the desired head angularity.
- A normal kickout action is executed after
the trimming hit to forcefully eject the
blank from the die. This system guarantees
a stable high-speed trimming action.
- Blank delivery transfer at the final station
lets you chuck the trimmed blank out of the
former, or you can eject the blank through
the punch. Use whichever system best for
the job.
<Benefit>
- Allows you to trim larger head diameters
in relation to shank diameters, and to trim
thinner head sections with greater precision.
- Lets you trim non-round, odd shape head with
greater precision and dependability.

| Wire Grip Cutoff System (optional)
<Construction>
- Gripper block forcibly locks the wire in
the cutoff die during the cutoff stroke.
<Benefit>
- Wire spring-back and buckling are eliminated.
All slugs are cut to the same precise volume
so finished blanks are formed with minimal
dimensional variation.

 |
| Assist-Saver Transfer Support System (optional)
<Construction>
- Blank Catch Action
Assist-Saver arm catches and holds the kicked-out
blank in front of the die where it is picked-up
by the transfer chuck. You get a completely
dependable transfer action, even for extremely
short blanks.
- Blank Insertion Action
Assist-Saver also provides a "pusher"
action that partially inserts blanks into
the die before the forging hit. Eliminates
blank drops and off-center hits for short
blanks.
<Benefit>
- Provides reliable high-speed transfer for
short blanks and those having step cross
sections.
- Simplifies tooling design, and allows certain
tooling to be used for different jobs.
- The header sets up faster and easier because
finger open and close timing remains constant
regardless of workpiece or tooling configuration.

 |
The Assist-Saver system, as well as other
innovations, let you use one cold former
to produce a wider range of both short and
long blanks. These are just a few of the
reasons why Asahi Sunac cold formers give
you a more stable forging action and superior
productivity compared to the competition.
