Heat-Resistant and Flexible Piezoelectric Sensors
Utilizing our unique Sol-Gel composite piezoelectric device technology, we provide heat-resistant, thin, and flexible piezoelectric sensors.
This sensor has an ultrasonic transmission/reception function and a pressure and vibration detecting function, which performs measurement of the wall thickness of pipes, flaw detection, and vibration measurement.
By using this device, long-term monitoring in high temperature areas, narrow spaces, and difficult-to-access areas, which is a problem when introducing an IoT system to a factory, becomes available, contributing to improve/enhance safety and productivity in the factory.
Sol-gel composite piezoelectric device technology
Normally, ceramics are hard and brittle, which is easily broken by sudden temperature changes, but "Sol-Gel composite piezoelectric ceramic device manufacturing technology" by the Sol-Gel spray method realizes ceramics with unique properties of flexibility, which can measure without breaking even at high temperatures or sudden temperature changes.
Piezoelectric devices are functional materials that mutually convert mechanical deformation and electrical signals, and are used for non-destructive inspection by ultrasonic flaw detection, ultrasonic echo inspection equipment for medical use, ultrasonic vibration transmission and reception of fish finder, etc.The piezoelectric ceramic film produced by the Sol-Gel spray method becomes a porous film due to the effects of powder mixing and spray application, has the characteristics of being strong against thermal shock and mechanical shock, flexible and hard to break.
It is also capable to form a sensor on a curved surface by a unique manufacturing process using spray coating.
